BOTSWANA
Clark and
Hazel Logan (Gaborone) ask
prayer
for a series of gospel meetings to be held
in the village of
Tsolamosese,
where two believers started a Sunday School
earlier in the year. The chief and village
elders have given permission to proceed.
THAILAND
David and
Maureen Wood (Chiang Mai) - ask
prayer
for the ‘Christmas
in the Park’ annual outreach to the
community.
Pray for wisdom, strength and energy
for all those who will be involved in the
preparation and presentation of this
outreach event.
FRANCE
David and
Brigitte Sutherland (Arras) - On the
evenings of
6th
– 9th
December, the city of
Lyon
organize their annual “Festival
of
Lights”. During these four evenings,
hundreds of thousands of people walk through
the streets of Lyon. A number of local
believers a few years ago decided to give
Bibles to people and to explain about “another
kind of light” which exists.
Thousands of Bibles have been bought in
order to give away. Please
pray
for this outreach.
Chris and
Michelle Hall - On
8th
December the English speaking choir
will be performing at the
Chateau-Gontier
Christmas market.
Pray
that it will encourage people to attend the
English carol service the following week
(Saturday 15th December).
Mike and
Alison Packer (Laval) – Please
continue to
pray for
Alison
as she has had another bout of illness only
5 days after stopping the antibiotics she
had been taking since September. Her
consultant is now going to try to find a
specialised hospital.
REPUBLIC OF
IRELAND
Noel and
Liza McMeekin (Drum) – Around 2500
Christmas shoeboxes have been packed and are
now ready for distribution.
Pray
for L
who has helped with the work and
consequently showing an interest in
spiritual things. In addition, they would
value prayer
for several Christmas outreach activities,
that many would be encouraged to also show a
spiritual interest.
Noel
will be visiting each house in
Cootehill
before Christmas with gospel literature, a
ladies outreach craft night is to be held on
5th
December, and on
9th
December people will be invited to a
‘friendship’ evening at the assembly.
Colin and
Rosemary Sheldon (Dublin) would value
prayer
for outreach events this month. Invitations
are being sent to local people who showed
some interest when the ‘4you’
Gospel magazine was distributed in
the Summer & Autumn, to come to the
Carol
Service on
Sunday 9th
December. On
Wednesday 12th,
the ladies have their Christmas programme
with a meal and a message. Ladies who come
to the different programmes in the Assembly
are invited to this evening.
Andy Shanks
(Newcastle West) reminds us that
again they will be having a
scripture text on
a billboard sign at the main roadside
through
Newcastle West.
This will be from
December 9th
for three weeks.
Please
pray that
God will move people’s hearts in response to
this.
