ZAMBIA
Update on
David Lukama
and those injured in recent car accident:
Maria Mwape
– is in hospital in Lusaka. She is still
unconscious though the doctors think the
swelling in her brain has gone down a
little.
David
has had successful surgery. He is able to
talk and might be released from hospital in
a couple of weeks.
Gift
has been moved to the Italian hospital in
Lusaka where specialists will be able to
assess what damage has been done to his
spine.
Alessandro
has been experiencing more pain, though this
might be partly due to shock. In an answer
to prayer his passport, laptop and other
possessions have been recovered.
PANAMA
Clive and
Hazel Walker (Santiago) request
prayer
for the provision of a minibus, making one
journey possible to bring everyone to the
meetings instead of 2-3 trips.
REPUBLIC OF
IRELAND
Noel and
Liza McMeekin (Drum) -The annual
Prize-givings are completed and almost 4300
students and parents attended at 47
different venues. Most of those who attended
were not accustomed to hearing the gospel
message.
Prayer is asked that hearts will
respond to the message.
During
May
there will be a ladies ‘Fit
for Life’ outreach which involves
walks, supper and a Christian talk.
Prayer
is asked for this event and that the gospel
will be clearly presented.
Colin and
Rosemary Sheldon (Dublin)-
Colin
is booked to have an arthroscopy on his left
knee
Thursday 5th
May.
Sunday 8th
Rosemary will be admitted to the same
hospital for a right knee replacement. On
her discharge from the hospital, she will
convalesce for 2 weeks.
Prayer
is asked for these hospital visits and that
complete healing will come in due course.
SPAIN
Ken and
Alison Barrett (Madrid) – On
Saturday 7th
May Ken
will give a seminar for Evangelical religion
teacher training students at “Toral de los
Guzmanes” in Leon province.
Prayer
is asked for safety of travel.
Prayer
would also be valued by three ladies from
Alcala
church who are travelling to a week’s
activities at the same venue.

Philip Kaye

us for the Gospel Service on
