ETHIOPIA
This week
John McQuoid
is in Addis
Ababa, meeting with and teaching
elders and other assembly leaders. The
assemblies in this city have played a big
part in initiating and supporting the work
at Ginchi,
mentioned last week.
Pray
that these leaders will be blessed through
John’s
ministry, and pray for John as he returns
home on 4th
December.
JAPAN
Ken and
Christine Cowell (Kushiro) request
prayer
for a special Christmas outreach for the
ladies’ Craft Circle on
1st
December, at which
Christine
will be speaking.
Praise
God that Mr
Suzuki has professed faith and is to
be baptised on
16th
December. His wife has been a
believer for many years. His daughter, who
is also a believer, is flying over from
Germany to attend the baptism.
Mr Suzuki
has rather a weak heart so please
pray
for his health.
THAILAND
Peter Ferry
(Phuket) advises that a number of sea
gypsy believers are to be
baptised
on PePe
island at the beginning of December. Please
pray
for the small group that meets on this
island, under the leadership of a young man
named Eang,
from Rawai.
Peter
also advises that he will be attending a
special two-day series of meetings for
Burmese
immigrant workers, being held near
Bangkok
on 4th and
5th December.
Ronnie
from Rangoon
will be speaking in the evenings and another
Burmese
brother will also help. This will be a
gospel outreach for the unsaved. Please
pray
for blessing.
FRANCE
Please continue to
pray
for Alison
Packer (Laval)
who is still in hospital following her
operation. She is very tired, but is
sleeping a little better and has been able
to take a short walk along the corridor with
one of the nurses. Give thanks that she will
not need any further treatment after leaving
hospital as results show that the tumour was
benign. She still has a lot of internal
bruising following the operation, so please
pray
that this will heal and that her body will
recover quickly from this ordeal.
REPUBLIC OF
IRELAND
Andrew and
Gillian Shanks (Newtonshandrum)
request
prayer for a special weekend with
Martin Baker
and a brother from
Poland,
this coming weekend. A gospel meeting will
be held on
Friday and
Saturday
evenings, and they also hope to do some
visitation work in
Newcastle
West, as there are many Polish people
living in the area, as well as some teaching
with some of the
Polish
believers in the assembly. Please
pray
for a time of blessing and rich fellowship
for all concerned.
SPAIN
Ken and
Alison Barrett (Madrid) ask
prayer
for a presentation of a coffee house project
which the
Alcala congregation will attend on
2nd December.
May this time help the believers to be
united in the spiritual vision behind the
project and to be built up in their faith.
VARIOUS
AREAS
Mike
and Ros Buckley request
prayer
for a marriage seminar for a number of
mature but young in faith couples being held
